Karen Poulsen

Karen has performed off–Broadway in NYC, Equity showcases for summer stock, and in many area theaters. Her first show at The Daytona Playhouse was Charlie’s Aunt in 1985. She met her husband, Keith, the next year at the Playhouse during A Flea in Her Ear.

Other favorite plays she’s been in here are Crimes of the Heart, The Philadelphia Story, and Barefoot in the Park. Karen has directed several plays and is also a playwright, with 13 of her original plays produced in area venues. This past summer, her Ropp Playwright Award winning play, Waiting for Hope, premiered at the Surfside Playhouse in Cocoa Beach. Karen is a proud member of The Dramatist Guild of America.
