• Auditions at Daytona Playhouse are open to everyone, REGARDLESS OF EXPERIENCE.
• Daytona Playhouse strongly encourages and welcomes performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, shapes, and sizes as well as actors with varying abilities to audition.
• Auditions consist of cold readings from the script (and solo singing for musicals).
• All casting decisions are made by the director of each production.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals begin in late May and are generally held Monday through Thursday evenings from 7 pm – 9 pm. Vocal and dance rehearsals take place on Saturdays, but performers are scheduled by song, so not everyone is called every Saturday.

Performances

Performances include four weekend matinees on July 11, 12, 18, and 19, as well as daytime performances Tuesday through Friday, July 14–17. During the weekday run, performers must be available each day from 9 am – 3:30 pm.

Conflicts

We encourage all interested performers to attend auditions and list any conflicts. We understand that summer schedules can be challenging, and a tentative rehearsal schedule will be available at auditions to help you determine whether participation is feasible.

Ages

The Young Actors Company is for performers from age 10 through 19.
