A Georgia native, Mitzi danced ballet until it was time to attend college. Compliments from co-workers and administrators for her portrayal of the Wicked Witch from The Wizard of Oz for her office’s Halloween celebration inspired her to audition for her first stage performance as Willie Mae in A Bad Year for Tomatoes. Since then, she has played many roles in several theaters. Her favorites include Aunt Harriett in The Dining Room, Mother in The Christmas Story, and Nurse March in Crash Cart. Mitzi is an accomplished trumpet player and especially enjoys honoring those who have served playing "Taps" at the funerals of military veterans.
