Description

A dark comedy about the quirky Brewster family. Sweet elderly sisters Abby and Martha poison lonely old men with elderberry wine while their nephew Mortimer discovers their secret amidst romantic and family chaos. Things escalate when Mortimer’s criminal brother Jonathan returns with a plastic surgeon accomplice, creating absurd situations as Mortimer tries to conceal the murders.

A benefit performance for the American Cancer Society was staged on June 25, 1947 and netted $34 in donations.
