Three separate stories set to music under one banner:
Part 1: The Diary of Adam and Eve. Based on a story by Mark Twain, this is a clever satire on the first two people on God's Earth.
Part 2: The Lady or the Tiger. Based on a story by Frank R. Stockton, this is a tale that deals with the evils of jealous love set "a long time ago in an absolute kingdom" ruled over by King Arik.
Part 3: Passionella. Based on a story by Jules Feiffer, this is a comedy with a rather unusual twist on the old theme of "rags to riches".
Music by Jerry Bock, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, and a book by both with contributions from Jerome Coopersmith. Opened on Broadway on October 18, 1966, at the Shubert Theatre.
Produced By Special Arrangement With Music Theatre International, Inc.
