Dave was a leading voice behind our Readers Theater Travel Troupe from 2010 through 2025. His rich background in broadcasting, with over four decades in radio and television — including 20 years here in Daytona Beach — made him a natural fit for our radio-style performances, which bring classic scripts from the golden age of radio to audiences across Volusia County.
A champion of the spoken word, Dave helped create space for actors who love performing without the pressures of memorization or full staging. The troupe has brought laughter, nostalgia, and heart to community centers, senior residences, and more — always at no charge.
He was a familiar face on the Playhouse stage, especially during our annual holiday radio shows, always lending his voice and historical insight with trademark warmth and wit.
In 2025, Dave relocated to Orlando with his wife, Patricia, to be closer to family.
