Sunnie Rice

Sunnie first became active with the Playhouse in 2023. Since then, she has supported the theatre in a variety of on- and off-stage roles, including ushering, house managing, stage managing, and currently serving as our Costuming Chair — where she has led efforts to organize and streamline the department to better support productions. Raised in the arts, Sunnie brings a deep passion for theatre and community service. Professionally, she is the executive Vice President of HR and EH&S at Everglades Boats and also serves as the DE&I Chair for the Volusia/Flagler SHRM board. She lives in Ormond Beach with her husband Aaron — who she’s been known to recruit for costuming department projects, set construction, and backstage crew — and their two daughters along with their two dogs and three cats.
